Terms of Use
Effective date: 9 July 2026 Last updated: 9 July 2026 Contact: devmobileuae@gmail.com
The short version. These terms govern your use of Paid. In short: Paid is a tool for making invoices, estimates, and receipts — not an accountant, a tax adviser, or a payment processor. You own and are responsible for every document you create and every client detail you enter, including that they are accurate, lawful, and not misleading. Your first document is free; after that, an auto-renewing subscription (sold and billed by Apple) unlocks the rest. You can cancel any time in your iPhone Settings. If something goes wrong with the app, our liability is limited to what the law allows and, where applicable, the amount you have paid in the past 12 months.

1. The short version
These terms govern your use of Paid. Paid is a document-making tool — not an accounting, bookkeeping, tax, legal, or payment service. Your first document is free; continuing beyond it requires an auto-renewing subscription that is sold and billed by Apple, which you can cancel at any time in your iPhone Settings. You own and are responsible for everything you create in the app. If something goes wrong with the app, our liability is limited to what the law allows and, where applicable, to the amount you have paid in the past 12 months. This short version is a summary only; the full terms below govern.
2. Who we are and how to contact us
Paid (Paid: Invoice & Estimate Maker) is operated by Aleksandr Borodin, an individual developer based in the United Arab Emirates. You can reach us at devmobileuae@gmail.com. These details match our App Store Connect records.
3. Your agreement to these terms
By downloading, installing, or using Paid, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least the age required by the App Store in your region (generally 13+, or 16+ in parts of the EEA) and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. If you use Paid for a business, you confirm you are authorised to do so on that business's behalf. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.
4. What Paid is (and is not)
Paid helps you create and format professional invoices, estimates, and receipts, and keep track of their status. It is a productivity tool.
Paid is not an accountant, bookkeeper, tax adviser, lawyer, or financial institution, and it does not provide accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. The totals, taxes, and figures it displays are calculated from the numbers you enter; it is your responsibility to confirm they are correct and compliant with the rules that apply to you.
Paid is not a payment processor and does not collect money from your clients. Marking a document "Paid" is a record-keeping label you set — it does not move any money.
This is not a technicality: getting your invoicing, tax, and record-keeping right is your responsibility, and for anything consequential you should consult a qualified professional. This disclaimer is repeated in Section 14.
5. No account required
Paid works without an account — there is no sign-up and no login. Your data lives on your device (and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud). Because there is no account:
- keep your device, and your iCloud, secured with the protections Apple provides (passcode, Face ID, and the optional app-lock in Paid);
- your subscription is tied to the Apple ID you purchased it with, and travels with that Apple ID via Restore Purchase.
You can wipe everything the app holds at any time with Settings → Delete all data.
Important: Deleting your data in the app does not cancel an active subscription. You must cancel that in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
6. The subscription
Paid is free to download, and your first document is free — you can create, brand, and send one full invoice or estimate at no charge. Free-tier documents carry a small "Made with Paid" line in the footer. To create further documents, remove that footer line, generate receipts, and unlock the other Pro features, an auto-renewing subscription is required; the app presents a paywall at that point. The following terms apply to that subscription.
- Plans and price. Pro is offered as a weekly and a yearly auto-renewing plan. Indicative pricing is $5.99 USD / week and $39.99 USD / year; a one-time discounted $19.99 USD / year introductory offer may be presented once. Actual prices vary by region, and the exact current price in your local currency is always shown inside the app before you purchase.
- No free trial. There is no free trial — the free first document takes its place. You are charged only when you choose to subscribe.
- Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (week or year) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in line with Apple's standard subscription rules.
- Payment. The subscription is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal. Apple is the seller and processes all payment; we never receive your card details.
- How to cancel. You cancel exclusively through your Apple ID subscription settings: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- Effect of cancellation. After cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current paid period. There are no pro-rata refunds for partial periods, except where required by law. When Pro access ends, your data remains on your device; you keep read access to what you have created, subject to the free-tier limits on creating new documents.
- Price changes. Apple's price-change policy applies. Where an increase requires it, Apple will notify you and ask you to affirm your continued subscription before the new price takes effect.
- Restoring a subscription. Use Restore Purchase in the app, with your Apple ID, to restore an existing subscription on a new device. Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider; no payment data is shared with us in the process.
- Family Sharing. This subscription is not offered through Apple Family Sharing; access is tied to the Apple ID used to purchase it.
- Refunds. Apple is the seller of record. Refund requests are handled by Apple at
https://reportaproblem.apple.com. We may grant good-will refunds at our sole discretion but are not contractually obliged to, except where consumer-protection law requires it.
Apple's standard terms for auto-renewing subscriptions are available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
7. EU / UK withdrawal right ("cooling-off period")
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. By subscribing and immediately using the paid features within that period, you begin performance of the service. By proceeding, you give your express consent to begin immediate performance and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal may be lost once the digital content has been supplied. The practical point of purchase and payment is Apple's flow, which is governed by your App Store agreement with Apple. (This clause must be confirmed by EU/UK-qualified counsel.)
8. License grant
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Paid on iOS devices you own or control, for your own personal or business use. All intellectual property in the app — its code, design, the "Paid" wordmark, and the copy — is owned by Aleksandr Borodin.
You may not: reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app; extract its assets; rebrand or redistribute it; scrape it; use it to build a competing product; or remove, obscure, or alter the "Made with Paid" footer on free-tier documents other than by subscribing to Pro.
9. Your content
You own everything you create in the app — your business profile, clients, line items, and the invoices, estimates, and receipts you generate. Because this content stays on your device or in your own iCloud, we receive no license to it and make no claim to it.
If you contact support and voluntarily share part of your content (for example, by attaching a screenshot), you grant us a limited license to process that copy only for the purpose of responding to your support request.
10. Your responsibilities as a business user
Paid formats documents; it does not vouch for them. You are solely responsible for:
- the accuracy of every figure, tax rate, total, date, and description in the documents you create;
- compliance with the invoicing, tax, and record-keeping rules that apply to your business and jurisdiction;
- having a lawful basis to store and use your clients' personal details (see the Privacy Policy, "The people you invoice"); and
- ensuring every document is truthful. You must not use Paid to create false, fraudulent, backdated, or misleading invoices, estimates, or receipts, or to represent a transaction that did not occur. Receipts in Paid are intended to be generated from your own real invoices.
We provide the tool in good faith and rely on you to use it honestly and correctly.
11. Acceptable use
Paid is a tool for your own legitimate business use. You agree not to:
- use the app for any unlawful purpose, or to create fraudulent or deceptive documents (see Section 10);
- attempt to breach the app's security;
- attempt to access other users' data (this is technically impossible, but stated formally);
- use the app to collect or store other people's personal data without a lawful basis where one is required.
12. Third-party services
The app relies on Apple services (App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, local notifications, and the Contacts and Photos frameworks) and on RevenueCat for subscription management. Your use of those services is also governed by those providers' own terms. We are not responsible for the performance, availability, or conduct of third-party services, or for any app or service you use to deliver a finished document (such as Mail or Messages).
13. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time, for any reason, with reasonable notice where feasible. Because your data lives on your own device, you can always export it as PDFs. If we discontinue the service, we will try to give paying subscribers at least 30 days' notice and, where applicable and feasible, arrange a pro-rata refund of the remaining subscription period through Apple.
14. Warranty disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for your particular needs, and we do not warrant that the documents, totals, or tax calculations it produces are accurate or legally compliant — that remains your responsibility (see Sections 4 and 10).
In jurisdictions where warranty disclaimers are restricted (including the EU, UK, and parts of the US), your statutory warranties and consumer rights remain in force, and nothing in these Terms attempts to exclude or limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Plain English: We try hard to make it work well, but we can't promise it will be flawless, and we can't stand behind numbers you enter. Check your own invoices.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Aleksandr Borodin in connection with the app is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 50.
We exclude liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, and for lost profits, lost revenue, or unpaid or delayed client payments. Regarding data loss: you are the custodian of your own device and iCloud backups; we exclude liability for lost data except where the law does not permit such exclusion.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. If you are an EU/UK consumer, your statutory liability rights under applicable consumer law are not affected.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Aleksandr Borodin against claims arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the app, (c) the content of the documents you create, or (d) your violation of third-party rights — subject to any carve-outs required by law for consumer users.
17. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time, cancel your subscription (via Apple), and delete your data in the app. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms; where feasible, we will give you notice and an opportunity to cure.
18. Apple-required terms (EULA overlay)
This app is licensed, not sold, to you. The following terms are required by Apple for App Store apps and apply in addition to the rest of these Terms:
- These Terms are concluded between you and Aleksandr Borodin only, and not with Apple. Aleksandr Borodin, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app.
- In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any) for the app; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer-protection or privacy law.
- Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any third-party claim that the app infringes that third party's intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US-government embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting," and that you are not on any US-government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.
Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the United Arab Emirates have jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in the EU or UK, you keep the benefit of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
Before starting formal proceedings, the parties will attempt informal resolution for 30 days by contacting devmobileuae@gmail.com. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. We will communicate material changes inside the app at least 30 days before they take effect (or more where required by law). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the change, you must stop using the app and cancel your subscription.
21. General
- Severability — if any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver — our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
- Entire agreement — these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any in-app notices, are the entire agreement between you and us.
- Assignment — we may assign these Terms to a successor entity (e.g. on an acquisition); you may not assign them.
- Force majeure — we are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
