Frequently asked questions
Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. Building the invoice and downloading the PDF are free, with no trial, no card, and no cap on how many you make. The only thing it asks in return is a small “Made with Paid” line in the footer of the PDF. Paid is an iPhone app, and this tool is how most people meet it — but if you never install the app, the generator still works exactly the same.
Do I need an account or an email?
No. There is no signup, no login, and no email gate in front of the download button. You do not create a profile, and nothing here mails you a copy or a newsletter afterwards. Open the page, fill the form in, and take your PDF.
Will my invoice have a watermark?
No. Nothing is stamped across the face of the invoice — no diagonal “sample” or “free version” text over your line items. The one credit is a small line at the bottom of the page that reads “Made with Paid”. Your client sees your business, your work, and your total, exactly as you typed them.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. On a small screen the form and the live preview stack into a single column, so you can write an invoice standing in a driveway and send it before you drive off. The PDF downloads the same way it does on a laptop, ready to attach to an email or a message. If you bill on the move often, the Paid app on iPhone saves your clients and tracks who has paid.
Where is my invoice data stored?
In your browser, and nowhere else. The invoice is put together on your own device and the PDF is generated there too, so your client names, line items, and amounts are never uploaded to us. One working draft is kept in your browser's local storage — that is what stops a reload from eating your work — and it expires after a week, or clears the moment you press Start over. There is no invoice history here and no server holding your ledger.
